It’s Okay Thursday- March 8

Hey girlies :).

Thank you all for your anniversary wishes on my last post. Reading your comments, tweets, Facebook posts, etc really means a lot to me. With our hectic schedules, we didn’t do anything special on Monday, but we really enjoyed our ice cream Saturday night, and I’m sure we’ll enjoy our usual date night this weekend.

I’ve started to like this blog hop, so today I’m linking up with A Complete Waste of Makeup for It’s Okay Thursday.

It's Okay

To be excited to see my Vallarta’s Mexican Restaurant review on Pee Dee Foodie last night. And I hope someone else out there is excited to read it…

To spend the evening doing housework. I don’t think those who have *normal* schedules understand how hard it is to do things like housework when you sleep at totally different times. Clay had to go to campus Wednesday night for a group project, so I got to vacuum at 7 PM instead of having to come home from work on my lunch break.

To get super excited when you get an e-mail from Cold Stone Creamery about their new Frozen Yogurt AND that e-mail includes a coupon. I get jealous of my blogger friends who post pictures of their frozen yogurt because we don’t have a frozen yogurt shop here.

To get a fortune that says “You deserve a pay raise” when you go out for Chinese with your boss and coworkers. The Chinese have got the right idea if you ask me…

To be slightly anxious about my husband’s impending job search, even though I know it’ll mean a brighter and happier future when he’s working in a field he truly loves.

To get slightly annoyed at the endless pictures of brooms standing in kitchens. Has anyone else noticed this on Facebook, or am I the only one? I almost never use my broom because I have a Swiffer Sweeper, and maybe I’m just tired of Facebook trends. Or Facebook in general…

To get a little nostalgic when “Spring Cleaning” your closet, then wonder how you acquired so much clothes when you’ve only been living here 15 months. My last major purge was before I moved in with Clay, so I guess that’s how…

Happy Thursday! And happy pay day for me!

Haha, I have a few friends who posted the broom pictures. I was wondering what was up with that.

Off topic of this post, where did you get your K-cup drawer? I just bought a Keurig and want to buy one. 🙂 Thanks!

    • Amy Lauren says:

I think the coffee pod drawer came from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I know I saw some in there, so even if it didn’t come from there, you could probably find it there.

Belk also had a nice selection of K-Cups and storage for them when I went in there the other day.

I rerally enjoyed reading your review! It was really well-written and included all the info I would have wanted to know if I was going to the restaurant! GREAT JOB 🙂

    • Amy Lauren says:

Thanks Allie! I love writing things like that. I love writing in general, though, but it definitely makes me slow down and think about my food, what I’m eating, and my dining experience. Glad you liked it!

I’m excited to try the frozen yogurt at Cold Stone. It looks yummy! I’m tired of the whole broom thing too and Facebook in general. I think it causes more harm than good at this point. I really need to clean my closet out. I need to find some extra time to do that! I know there are things in there that I haven’t worn in forever. Hope you have a great weekend!

  5. Heather says:

HAHA I love that cartoon! The internet is so addicting and congrats on your anniversary!

  6. Coldstone has Froyo now?!?! Oh dear lawddd I know where I am going this weekend!!

  7. Kara says:

I LOVE SPRING CLEANING! I’m crazy, I just love cleaning in general. I “Spring Clean” like once a month. I like to get rid of stuff. So weird, I know!

And I agree – enough with the brooms!
