If you’ve known me for any length of time, you know I love a deal!
The price of everything is going up lately- even sale prices aren’t as good as they once were, so using coupons is definitely the way to go. This week, Harris Teeter has “Super Double Coupons”, which means they double coupons up to $1.98. So, if you have a $1.50 off coupon, it doubles to save $3. Pretty sweet!
I made a trip to the Teeter on Wednesday morning and got all of this for around $14. Plus, I got two “$4 off your next purchase” coupons from buying the Blue Diamond Almonds and Almond Thins. The $4 off your next purchase coupons are good on any items, so I can use them to save when buying fruits and veggies, or Clay could use them to save on meat.
I don’t have a coupon binder, and you won’t see me buying 100 packs of gum or 20 bottles of ketchup- I don’t even like ketchup! I usually share my purchases with my parents, too (my mom will definitely be getting some almond thins). Plus, since the holidays are coming fast, I’ll easily be able to contribute to food drives.
Speaking of the holidays, I got some neat Christmas decorations at the Florence Area Humane Society yard sale yesterday! I didn’t have long to shop because I was on my way to the Run Like a Nut race, which I’ll blog about later, but I managed to pick up a few cute things.
Another great thing about yard sales is baked goods. A very nice lady sold me two pieces of homemade cake for $1. You can’t beat that for a slice of homemade cake, especially when it comes with a super cute napkin!
Amazing prices, great stuff, and proceeds going to the local animal shelter is definitely a WIN for everyone! I think the yard sale is an annual event, so hopefully I can make it out next year too.
