After spending the entire HOT work week working on year-end procedures (brings a whole new meaning to the phrase Christmas in July, eh?) here’s Five Question Friday!
Remember, if you want to ask me a question, you can do that in my Q&A post :).
1. Vow renewal ceremonies-yay or nay?
Personally- probably not. Then again, I was the one who had a super small (but still awesome) wedding ceremony. It’s a cool idea if it’s what you want to do.
2. What sound/s annoy you the most?
I know a question like this will get a lot of stereotypical answers, such as nails on a chalkboard, so I won’t answer with that :).
Back in college, I lived in a villa apartment next to someone who liked his boom badoom boom bass (in the words of Nicki Minaj) a little too much. Especially during the middle of the night when I was trying to write or occasionally sleep (seriously I slept very little in college and am spending my mid-20s making up for lost time).
Well, one night while trying to write a short story for Introductory Fiction, I threw my Health Psychology book at the wall, and it came crashing down into my rubbermaid trash can.
This wasn’t like crumbling a piece of paper and shooting it into the trash like basketball- this was HARD. The trash can cracked into pieces.
I think those guys moved out that next semester. No more boom badoom boom bass- which I actually like, when I’m not writing.
At Easter, my boyfriend (now husband!) conveniently bought me a new trash can for my desk, complete with a stuffed blue bunny and lots of candy that obviously mellowed my temper quite a bit, as I still have that trash can.
3. If you had to pick, would you have only all boys, or only all girls for kids?
Although I’m not planning on many kids anyway, I gotta go with all boys. There’s already enough estrogen in this family with me being in it.
4. Do you believe in alternative medicine?
Honestly, sometimes I lose faith in conventional medicine. The healthcare system is basically sick care, sadly.
I think prevention by exercising, eating good foods, and living a healthy lifestyle is the best medicine :).
5. Would you take a family member’s children and raise them if they needed it?
Sure I would. I have a soft spot for kids and would hate to see one of my family members’ kids go into foster care or something like that.
Granted I can barely take care of myself, but I could do a better job of raising a kid than the government could, right?
