Five Question Friday and Summer Memories So Far!

Five Question FridayFive Question Friday
Hey guys! It’s Five Question Friday!

1. If you got pregnant what would your first reaction be? For the dudes, what would your first reaction be if your wife told you she was pregnant?

Clay and I would like to have kids someday (Not today. Or tomorrow. And the next 4 years aren’t looking so hot either, babywatchers). However, since we’re not hoping to have children anytime soon, I’d probably freak out if I got pregnant. I mean, royally freak.

First comes love, then comes marriage, but for right now, we won't need a baby carriage :).

Obviously I’d keep the baby and ultimately be happy, but I’d probably still have the thoughts in the back of my mind of all the awesome things I wanted to do before babies. It would definitely take me awhile to get myself together mentally.

2. Best memory about this summer so far.

Oh wow, I have quite a few. Some awesome stuff has  gone down this summer. Here’s a few pictures to get you started:

We went on our honeymoon- cruise on Freedom of the Seas.

Clay and I ran a Memorial Day 5K! It was 1st place female (and cheated out of an award) and it was Clay's first 5K race!

My awesome friend Ashley got married! Here's Kelli, Ashley, and I at her wedding.

Creepin' Shroom

I hung out with my awesome friends like Tiff and Brittany 🙂

3. How often do you change your sheets?

I don’t change them very often, but I do wash them a lot, especially if I get sick or something and spend a lot of time in bed.

4. Having just gone through TSA, would you rather have a full-body scan or a pat-down?

I haven’t been through TSA since this started going on, but I’m pretty sure I’d opt for the scan…

5. Since it is fair time…what’s your favorite fair (county or state) memory?

Fair time in SC is in October when it’s not 5763839 degrees outside, but when Clay and I went this past year, we took this awesome picture that reminds me of the TV Show “Little People Big World”- for obvious reasons.

We always thought it was cool that the dwarf wife on that show is also named Amy :).

Oh good! Your county fairs are around the same time as the Ashland one around here. Phew. Because I know there are fairs going on right now, but the only one around here that is during the summer is the Richland one. Wayne and Ashland are fall. But honestly, that’s how it should be. 🙂

Well, I hope your plans for having children stay strong! Yeah, I don’t want kids right away either. I don’t want to live with my future husband until our wedding, and of course those first few months or even couple of years, you gotta used to living together. 🙂 But, like you said, when a baby is coming, you have nine months to get everything together. Hehe.

Yeah, I’ve gotten germaphobic about sheets in the past couple of years. I wash/change mine weekly.

The last time I flew was May 2010. I haven’t seen the body scans in person, but they look creepy. I think I may want a pat down, BUT if the guard wants me to go through the machine, I should probably do it. No sense of getting into an argument about it. 🙂

I think all TSA stuff is sorta creepy.

I’m with you on the kids thing. Even though Clay and I were in a relationship for over 5 years before we moved in together (we only lived together for 3 months before getting married), there’s still so much you learn about a person after you live with them that you didn’t know before.

It’s too hot for a fair here. Actually, it’s too hot for just about anything.

No kidding about babies! Hi, newly married, some of us like to enjoy being “just” married before bringing on other responsibilities. I would definitely freak out!

Sheets – every other week at the “longest”. I have craptacularly sensitive skin…

I’ve had both treatments at TSA. The pat-down seems less invasive to me.

      I think they’re both obtrusive :(.

From what I’ve heard, after you have a baby people start asking when you’re going to have another one like, immediately. Like I’d want to enjoy my child for a couple years first!

  3. im not married but still i dont want a child any time soon. wanna enjoy my life now and besides i live w my parents so that prolly means i care barely take care of myself lol

I love that picture of us- #goodtimes

That is a totally awesome pic of us =).

I’ve never felt like living with parents meant someone couldn’t take care of themselves. People have different circumstances at different times. Better to be living with them and saving some money and really not being able to take care of yourself (bc trust me a lot of people who live on their own really can’t! Not that you would be one of those people).
