Five Question Friday: Pre-Cruise Edition

Five Question Friday 1. Have you ever had roommates?

Well… considering I went off to college and lived in a dorm and then apartments, I pretty much had roommates for oh… seven years.  Some good, some nightmarish– and living with someone definitely can change your thoughts about them.

Junior year of college, I lived in a villa apartment with Tiffany G., Tiffany W., and Stacey, three girls who were members of the Wesley Foundation campus ministry with me.  It was so awesome living with three girls who shared my values but still knew how to have a good time.  All of us got along, hung out together, remained friends after living together, and still keep in touch :).

2. How many names do you/your children have? (i.e. Prince Charming William Phillip Arthur Louis John Jacob Jingleheimer-Schmidt)

I have a super long name that is too long to fit on a nameplate at my job.  It’s about to get longer when I change my name, as I’m not simply taking Clay’s last name but rather hyphenating mine- so I’m not officially dropping my middle name.

However, I highly doubt I sign my middle name anymore.  The people who call me Amy will always call me Amy. The people who call me Amy Lauren will always call me Amy Lauren– regardless of what my driver’s license says.

I’m not sure how many names my children will have.  Probably just one, haha.

3. Did you watch the Royal Wedding?

Nopers, I didn’t.  If you haven’t already guessed, I’m not a girly girl and I’m not really into big weddings and other girly girl things.  If I was royalty and expected to have a wedding like that, I’d elope or either have a common law marriage, just to be a rebel.

Toasting with Diet Mountain Dew = Wedding tradition rebellion at its finest.

4. What is the messiest room in your house?

The bedroom where Clay sleeps.

5. What is your ideal Mother’s Day?

I’m not a mother, so my ideal Mother’s Day is this Mother’s Day- Clay and I will be boarding a cruise ship to the Caribbean.  I have no desire to have children anytime soon, as I’m really enjoying being a 20something.  I eventually want children, but my own mom had a career and was older when she had me, so I feel no guilt in waiting.

I did celebrate with my mom a few weeks ago and gave her a new purse that she wanted.  And, in honor of Mother’s Day, and since my mom is awesome like that, here’s a picture of Mommy and I:

Happy Friday Guys!

ooh have fun on your cruise! Think of all the sad folks stuck in SC as you wave goodbye to the coast 🙂
I have a long name too, but not in words just in letters. It never fits on stuff, and I assume that I will probably hyphenate or add my husbands last name too, instead of just ditching mine all together.

Yeah, I’m not even changing my nameplate at work. My old name didn’t fit on it, so my new name won’t either. I don’t want to replace a nameplate with the wrong name with another nameplate with the wrong name, haha.

  2. I didn’t watch the Royal Wedding either…too much jazz for something that will be all over the news anyways. Why wake up early when I could watch reruns on youtube?
