In honor of the wonderful man I’m marrying (he’ll be my handsome husband!), here’s a survey I found about 20 things about your significant other.
1. He’s sitting in front of the TV, what is on the screen?
Football (Go Gamecocks! But he will occasionally watch other teams too), MMA on Spike TV, The Food Network (esp. Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives). He also watches the Discovery Channel and History Channel sometimes.
2. You’re out to eat; what kind of dressing does he get on his salad?
Guacamole because usually we go out for Mexican and he gets “a little bit of everything” (and mixes the hot and mild salsas together). If it’s a regular salad… probably a vinaigrette? It’s been forever since we went anywhere where he got a traditional salad, and when we did (a few months ago), he got the house dressing.
3. What’s one food he doesn’t like?
Little green peas.
4. You go out to eat and have a drink. What does he order?
Sweet and unsweetened tea mixed or Diet Mt. Dew if they have it. Neither of us ever really get anything alcoholic when we go out, but we did enjoy those free drinks at the Past Guest Party on the cruise :).
5. Where did he go to high school?
Hartsville High School- where he played football. It’s so hard for me to believe I’m marrying a (former) football player. Go Red Foxes!
6. What size shoe does he wear?
Like a 12.5, I think it depends on the shoe.
7. What is something he likes to do but never gets to do?
Go to the Florence Fight Farm and train for MMA… he gets to sometimes, though.
8. What is his favorite type of sandwich?
We go to Firehouse and he gets a sandwich that has 3 kinds of meat on it and he adds veggies to it. He also likes the sandwiches from the NY Butcher Shoppe.
9. What would he eat every day if he could?
Bacon and any meat from the NY Butcher Shoppe, probably any of the ‘better’ cuts and types of meat out there (which I don’t know what those are, being a vegetarian).
I also think he’d eat Las Palmas quite often, as well as sushi, but probably not *every* day.
10. What is his favorite cereal?
He used to really like those Quaker Oatmeal Squares, but lately he’s been eating a lot of frosted mini wheats (including the chocolate kind, lol). He also likes Honey Nut Cheerios.
11. What would he never wear?
Anything with the Confederate flag on it, “skinny” jeans, anything Emo looking, anything Clemson. Oh, and I can’t ever see him wearing lavender or purple. He likes more masculine colors like green and red.
12. What is his favorite sports team?
Gamecock Football baby!
13. Who did he vote for?
In 2008, he was so sleepy from working the night shift, driving to Hartsville, and waiting so long to vote, that he just checked straight Democrat. I know he would’ve voted Obama anyway.
14. Who is his best friend?
Hopefully me, since he’s marrying me. But I’d have to say his best guy friends are Mitesh, Terry, Chris, Damien, Brian, and a few of the guys who he used to play poker with.
15. What is something you do that he wishes you wouldn’t do?
He wishes I’d wear dresses more often. Oh, and I don’t think he’s too fond of my rainbow platform flip flops (too bad, lol!).
16. What is his heritage?
Um, he was born in the upstate, does that count? His ancestors are Irish. When he got sunburned, I joked that the cruise ship would take him back to the motherland.
17. You bake him a cake for his birthday; what kind?
His mom would bake him that cake, not me. And regardless of what it was, he would love it because she bakes really good cakes. Knowing her though she makes a lot of pound cakes. Oh, and if it has peanut butter on it, he’ll totally love it!
18. Did he play sports in high school?
He played football and did wrestling, and I think he played baseball but maybe in middle school or JV, not high school. Then again, *every* little boy plays baseball at some point, right? He definitely did more sports than my non-athletic self.
19. What could he spend hours doing?
Playing video games, playing computer games, laying in a hammock reading, cuddling and watching a football game with me, coding.
20. What is one unique talent/gift he has?
He’s super smart when it comes to computers!
Oh, and before I forget (even though I actually ran this on Wednesday):
