So back in the day (meaning: 2006-2007, so not THAT far back), I was a student leader in a college ministry called Wesley Foundation. I handled communications, which basically meant I made signs, designed brochures, and took pictures.
For three years, Wesley Foundation made my college life awesome and I loved it. Best of all, it’s still doing that for college students today.
While all of the communications work I did lives on in a professional writing portfolio that I can’t locate, the memories live on forever in my heart.
In February of 2007, three years ago, a bunch of us FMU Wesley peeps went to a retreat at White Oak Convention Center, and we took some pictures.
I won’t even lie; my friends and I were college ministry rebels and skipped out on the sessions to go randomly wandering around the woods.
The retreat was interesting, and I met some cool people who I added on here and occasionally wish a happy birthday. As that’s how these retreats are- you bond with amazing people, but it’s just like summer camp- you don’t keep in touch.
Not to mention, we had a talent show where a bunch of us performed a parody of Beyonce’s “Irreplaceable”, with the words changed to reflect how God is irreplaceable. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a picture of this, and since this was so long ago, I doubt there’s a video on YouTube somewhere.
You must not know ’bout God, You must not know ’bout God. He’ll come into your heart in a minute, so don’t you ever for a second get to thinking that He’s replaceable.
