Workouts: Jan 10 – 16

Hello everyone.  Don’t feel like you have to read this; like I’ve said, it’s just to keep me accountable since it’ll come up on someone’s Google Reader or RSS feed.

Sunday: 3.1 mile run on the treadmill.  Still battling that sinus infection, somewhat, so I’m not running outside until it’s completely over.  It’s supposed to warm up later this week anyway.

Monday: Strength training (upper body).  Then that night, I worked out with my friend Maria.  She was teaching the Cardio Fusion class at the gym, but since only I showed up (slackers, slackers, slackers, I’m gonna need those of you who are McLeod members to COME!), we just did the workout together.  It went well except that I slipped on a bosu ball and landed on my ankle in a weird way.  It was okay though- I iced it down REALLY well that night.  BTW, don’t get hurt when it’s cold because cold ice in cold weather is not fun!

Tuesday: I ran 3.1 miles on the treadmill (I’m trying to run a 5k, at least, each time I work out) and then biked for ten minutes.  Gym was packed today and had to wait on a treadmill, bleh.  Fortunately my sinus infection is going away AND it’s warming up so I’ll be able to run outside on Thursday or Friday.  My ankle was fine.

Wednesday: I lifted weights (lower body).

Thursday: I did a Cardio Fusion class at the gym.  The class was mostly cycling, but we also did a lot of pushups (apparently there are like 5 different kinds of push-ups, I just learned this last night), running, squats, and other stuff.  It was pretty cool.

Friday: I ran 5 miles outside.  Yeah, I don’t think I’ve ever run this far before.  It really wasn’t bad because the weather was PERFECT.  60 degrees and a cool breeze reminds me of why I love living in South Carolina during the winter months (now the summer months, that’s another story with the weather because it’s ridiculously hot).  Anyway, it was totally awesome.

Saturday: I’m planning a well-deserved day off.  I have to go pick up a few things from Target and CVS, but besides that, I think I’m going to chill and maybe clean some today.  God Bless!

    I’ve started exercising again, but just slow, working-up-to-it exercises. I’ve been taking walks around campus a couple times, and little exercises in my room. Woo. I hope that I can keep it up.
