Celebrate good times, c’mon!

Hello everyone!  A lot has been going on lately, so I wanted to write a blog to keep everyone updated… the few of you who read, hehe.

So, last week my mom had her surgery and her full body skin cancer skin.  The surgery actually went really, really, well.  The skin cancer scan, not so much.  The machine apparently broke while she was inside, and well, it’s bad enough to be in a tightly enclosed machine when it IS working, much less waiting even longer because it’s not.  Hopefully they got all the melanoma when they did the last surgery and it hasn’t spread.  We won’t know for another week or two, so keep praying and thank you for those of you who have prayed already.

Anyway, the fun part of the blog comes now… a week or so ago, I had an awesome time with my friends celebrating Ashley’s new job at the Florence Civic Center.  She’s doing Marketing/PR work for them now and so far, she really, really likes it.  It’s good to have a job at all right now, so having one that you like is definitely an added bonus.   So my awesome friends and I went out to Las Palmitas in Darlington to celebrate her new job.  We are huge fans of Las Palmitas because our friend Marisol’s family owns it, and they’re really cool people.  Plus the restaurant has the BEST nachos with beans ever.  In fact I went to another Mexican restaurant in town with a friend last week, and I had the same thing… and it wasn’t even HALF as good.  So yeah, lil rant there.

I love my friends and they mean the world to me.  Here are some pics from our celebration:
