Hey guys! I’m obviously busy with the move, so no real blog entry. I’m settling in here in Charleston and will have a lot to say when I get everything unpacked and get time to write regular blog posts again. We moved on Friday, went back to Florence on Saturday and cleaned all day long, and spent Sunday shopping, running errands, and unpacking- yet we still have tons to do! I’ll update you guys and post pictures of the new place once everything is settled.
For now, here’s a survey I received from Ashley at Almost Veg Girlie. Thanks Ashley!

What is your favorite color?
Blue, but I’m a fan of anything majorly colorful. I’ll have to say I’m not big on orange, though- for obvious reasons (Go Gamecocks!).
What is your favorite animal?
Cute puppies! Back when he was working nights, Clay sent me an e-mail with a cute puppy picture in it almost every night. Of course, it was the first thing I saw once I got up and got to work in the mornings, so I basically woke up to a cute puppy. Hopefully in a few months, once we’re settled, I can wake up to a real-life cute puppy each morning.
What is your favorite non-alcoholic drink?
I don’t actually drink alcohol, and I usually stick to coffee and water. I love coffee from my Keurig, but I also love the occasional Sonic happy hour drink, especially a Vanilla Coke Zero.
Do you prefer Facebook or Twitter?
Facebook, but I’m figuring out how much of a time suck it is and really enjoy my Google Reader more these days. I’m kind of at the point I’d rather read blogs. I love twitter too though, the only one I really can’t get into is Google Plus.
What is your favorite pattern?
I really like argyle and plaid- hence my blog background. I also have an argyle patterned plastic cup that keeps my water cold at my desk at work.
Do you prefer giving or getting presents?
Honestly, I prefer doing things for people more than presents or stuff. I’d rather surprise someone with a dessert or a lunch out or some small token of appreciation rather than a present. Why give a present when you can go out for frozen yogurt together, you know?
What is your favorite number?
Hmm… I really don’t know. I don’t think I’ve every thought about having a favorite number, and I never played a sport in school to sign my number beside my name (I found my old high school t-shirt that everyone signed, and all the athlete kids did that). I kinda like the number 7 though because it’s lucky, so I’ll go with that.
What is your favorite day of the week?
Saturday
. It’s mine and Clay’s date night (guess with him working a normal schedule and us not having kids, any night can be date night now, but Saturday is tradition) and depending on the Saturday, I get paid the Friday before so having money is nice too. Plus, Saturday is the day for running races or for college football in the Fall.
What is your favorite flower?
Like Ashley, I think the huge bright colored daisies are pretty cool.
What is your passion?
Oh wow… I have a few passions. Writing is definitely a big passion, as I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember and except for when I questioned my identity as an adolescent, it’s what I’ve always wanted to do with my life. Running is another passion, but definitely not as big of a passion as writing, and coaching and encouraging others is right up there too.
Since I’m busy with packing, unpacking, cleaning, and organizing, I won’t nominate anyone specifically, so if you’d like to be nominated, feel free to fill this out and link back to this post.

Ah moving fun and yet lots of work! I agree with your passions whole heartedly and totally love doing things instead of presents! make memories i figure
Definitely! And you don’t have to pack memories when you move. No more buying souvenirs like shot glasses for me, those are the most annoying things ever to pack and unpack!
Oh the joys of moving! I am in the same position except I’m trying to get everything in a duffel bag! Good luck!
Whew, good luck with that! I hope your move and new job are going well!
I’m glad to hear you’re doing good and the move was okay! Can’t wait to hear more
Thanks, everything is going okay with the move so far. Still trying to unpack though! We own way too much stuff still!
Dohh moving is such a stressful thing Amy, good luck with getting everything done and settled! I am so glad to hear that it went alright though
Thanks, it’s going okay so far. Only one thing broke, and it was already half broken anyway, so I’m glad that was the only casualty, haha. Just a matter of finding a place to put stuff now!
Sonic happy hour for the win! Such a good deal. I love the diet limeade. Like a lot. Glad you are feeling more settled!
I love the diet strawberry limeade at Sonic. I’m gonna have to find the one here and hit up happy hour this week!
I have heard about Sonic Happy Hour and that it is super good. Maybe I’ll have to go sometime soon.
The Sonic drinks are delicious! They are half price from 2-4 but even full price they’re like $2 or so, not bad really. You can get tons of combinations and weird stuff and sometimes it tastes really good
good luck with the rest of that moving!!
i love these surveys, so fun….okay so i’m also happy to hear that i’m not the ONLY adult who doesn’t drink. i do catch flack for that, but not only does it not even appeal to me but it’s not good for me running-wise and seriously i’d rather ‘spend’ my calories on Pop-Tarts.
Haha, I’m not a pop tarts fan but I agree on the calories, that’s really the reason why I don’t do it. I indulge in frozen yogurt and cupcakes and things like that rather than alcohol, plus I’m so tiny and would have no tolerance!
glad all is going well, for the most part! hopefully you will get everything in it’s place soon so you can resume normal hobbies and such. i also like to treat people to a meal out or a random activity (like those paint classes). i don’t know if my friends appreciate it haha or if they’d rather get an actual gift like a new shirt. i just prefer to spend time / do something then acquire more junk.
Oh definitely, I don’t need any more stuff! In fact I’ve already thrown more stuff out since I moved, ahhh!!
